This is an interesting tidbit that’s surfaced via Reddit.
Feral Interactive has confirmed that its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 port of GRID Legends will support the new wireless GameCube controller’s analog triggers for precise acceleration and braking controls.
Yes – GRID Legends will support the NSO variant of the GameCube controller, offering analog trigger support for acceleration and brake. That’s all been tested and verified here 🙂

The GameCube’s controller was Nintendo’s first and only to feature analog triggers. This means that realistic racers on Nintendo platforms have typically had to map the accelerator and brake controls to the right stick, or otherwise miss out on the precision controls afforded by the now-traditional Xbox and PlayStation controllers’ triggers.
The story-focussed racer, which stars actor Ncuti Gatwa of Sex Education fame, comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on 29th January 2026 with a reasonable price tag of £24.99 / $39.99.
